Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information Swift Pour Beverage Consulting, LLC (“Swift Pour,” “we,” “us”) collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. It covers PourSpec at pourspec.com (the “App”) and our consulting website at swiftpourbev.com (together, the “Services”). Consulting engagements are also governed by the agreement we sign with each client.
The short version: we collect only what we need to run your account, save your formulations and answer your messages. We do not sell your information, we do not use advertising or tracking cookies, and your formulations are yours.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Account details. When you create a PourSpec account: your email address and, if you choose to add them, your name and profile photo.
- Phone number. We may ask you to verify a mobile number by text message before you save your free formulation. We use this to prevent abuse of the free plan.
- Your formulations. The projects you save in PourSpec, including ingredients, amounts, notes, names and any other content you enter (“Your Content”).
- Messages. When you use the contact form on swiftpourbev.com or email us: your name, email, company (optional) and your message.
- Payment information. If you subscribe to a paid plan, payment is handled by our payment processor. We receive your plan and billing status but never your full card number.
Information collected automatically
- Sign-in cookies. Cookies and similar storage that keep you signed in and secure your session. These are necessary for the App to work.
- Technical data. IP address, browser type, and request logs that our hosting provider records when you use the Services. We use your IP address briefly to limit excessive requests and protect the Services.
- Browser storage. PourSpec may keep a copy of your projects in your browser’s local storage so the App works smoothly; you can clear this in your browser settings.
We do not use analytics, advertising, or cross-site tracking tools.
2. How we use information
- To provide the App: create and secure your account, save and load your formulations, and apply plan limits.
- To verify your identity, prevent fraud and abuse of the free plan, and keep the Services secure.
- To respond to your inquiries and provide consulting services you request.
- To send service messages, such as sign-in codes, account notices and changes to these policies. We will not send marketing emails without your permission, and you can opt out at any time.
- To fix problems and improve the Services.
- To comply with law and enforce our Terms of Use.
Your formulations stay confidential. We do not publish Your Content, share it with other users or brands, or use it to build products for others. We access it only when needed to operate or support your account, when you ask us to, or when required by law.
3. How we share information
We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising. We share it only with service providers that help us run the Services, under obligations to protect it:
- Clerk (account sign-in, email and text-message verification)
- Render (application hosting and database)
- Wix (swiftpourbev.com hosting, contact form and contact records)
- Google Fonts (web fonts, which receive your IP address when pages load)
- A payment processor, if you subscribe to a paid plan
We may also disclose information if required by law or legal process, to protect the rights, safety or property of anyone, or as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of the business, in which case this policy will continue to apply to your information.
4. How long we keep information
We keep account information and Your Content while your account is active. If you ask us to delete your account, we delete your account and saved formulations within 30 days, except where we must keep limited records for legal, tax or security reasons. Contact form messages are kept as business records for as long as they are useful for that relationship. Hosting logs are kept for a limited period set by our providers.
5. Your choices and rights
- Access and correction. You can see and edit your account details from your account menu in PourSpec and see your formulations in the App.
- Export. You can ask us for a copy of your saved formulations.
- Deletion. You can delete individual projects in the App, or email us to delete your account and all of its data.
- Emails. You can opt out of any non-essential email using the link in it or by contacting us.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law, such as the right to know what we hold about you or to ask us not to sell or share it (we don’t). To make any request, email us at the address below. We will verify the request comes from you and respond within the time the law requires. We will not treat you differently for exercising your rights.
6. Security
We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), a dedicated sign-in provider, access controls that keep each account’s formulations separate, and limits on automated requests. No online service is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password and let us know right away if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
7. Children
The Services are intended for businesses and adults. They are not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
8. Where information is processed
We are based in the United States, and our service providers process information in the United States and other countries. By using the Services, you understand your information will be processed in the United States.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the Services change. We will post the new version here with a new “Last updated” date, and if a change is significant we will notify account holders by email or in the App before it takes effect.
